Events

We practice most Wednesday evenings during term time (see contact us page for more details).

In addition we dance out frequently, especially during the summer months. The venues range from central London locations such as the Guildhall and the HMS Belfast on the Thames to special days out in other towns such as Rochester in Kent and Malden in Essex. We also dance out locally at places such as pubs, shopping centres, local clubs and societies, churches and day centres.

Details of events are sometimes arranged and changed at short notice so it is advisable to check before you travel to an event. For contact details to check or book events see the contact us page.

New dancers and musicians are always welcome. We're there most Wednesdays but advisable to contact us to check beforehand.

Public Events 2010 (more being planned - keep checking back for new additions)

Saturday 17th April 2010	10am-4pm	Various spots around Bury St Edmunds town centre.	The Joint Morris Organisations' annual Day of Dance - this year in Bury St Edmunds, Suffolk. There will be literally hundreds of dancers and musicians attending - including, for the first time, us!
Saturday 24th April 2010	Afternoon		Private event - St George's Day workshops for East London Scouts.
Sunday 25th April 2010	Afternoon		Private event - St George's Day party for staff at Waltham Forest council and their families.
Sunday 2nd May 2010	11am-3pm	Valentine's Mansion, Valentine's Park, Ilford	We will be doing three dance spots during the day, including a chance for you to join in and learn a dance. Part of the mansion's family-friendly May Day celebrations.
Saturday 8th May 2010	4-5pm	The Plough, Wood Street, Walthamstow	CANCELLED
Saturday 19th June 2010	All day	Various spots around Maldon, Essex	We will be joining other Morris sides at the Maldon Festival.
Wednesday 30th June 2010	8-9pm	The Owl, Lippitt's Hill, Epping Forest	Evening dance-out at a lovely pub on the edge of Epping Forest.
Saturday 17th July 2010	3-4pm	St John's churchyard, Leytonstone	We have been asked to dance as part of this year's Leytonstone Festival. (Nb. the time is different from that shown in the festival program.)
Wednesdays 8th & 15th September 2010	8-10pm	St Gabriel's Family Centre, Havant Road, Walthamstow E17 3JF	Beginners' nights - come along and try out Morris dancing.
